Mosasaurus
giant fish eater
"Okay folks, she's a little shy so give her a hand when she comes out."--Sarah(src) Mosasaurus was a genus of large aquatic carnivore from the Late Cretaceous about 70-66 million years ago. Mosasaurus gave its name to a group of marine lizards - Mosasaurs.Mosasaurus means 'Meuse Lizard', referring to the river near which it was first found. It fed on such prey as seabirds, sharks, large fish, plesiosaurs and even other mosasaurs.

Plesiosaurus
nessi!
Plesiosaurus was a genus of marine sauropterygian reptiles that lived during the Jurassic Period. The type species of this genus isPlesiosaurus dolichodeirus. Skeletons are found in Europe.
Pleisiosaurus is distinguished by its small head, short snout, long and slender neck, broad turtle-like body, a short tail, and two pairs of large, elongated paddles. Plesiosaurus fed on belemnites, fish, and other prey. Some traces of skin discovered suggest that it was smooth, not scaly. |

Tylosaurus
like the mosasaurus but a bit different
Tylosaurus has a large, strong chest and arms, big flippers, a long body, and a strong tail for swimming. It has a ram-shaped snout and big conical teeth for catching prey. It is a mosasaur, or Meuse River lizard, a true marine lizard. Its food was turtles, plesiosaurs, other mosasaurs, larger fish and shellfish.[1]

Sea Scorpion
prehistoric scorpion of the sea
Sea scorpions (or Eurypterids) are an extinct group of arthropods which include the largest known arthropods that ever lived. They were formidable predators that thrived in the warm, shallow seas and lakes of the Ordovician to the Permian periods, around 460 to 248 million years ago. Sea scorpions predate the earliest fishes. The largest, such as Jaekelopterus, reached 2.5 metres (8 ft 2 in) or more in length, but most species were less than 20 centimetres (8 in). They went extinct during the Permian–Triassic extinction event 252.2 million years ago, and their fossils have a near global distribution.
The typical eurypterid was large and flat and had a tapering, flexible tail, most ending with a long spine at the end. The tail, known as the telson, is spiked in most eurypterids. Pterygotus, though, had a large flat tail, possibly with a smaller spine. Pterygotus had 4 pairs of walking legs, a fifth pair modified into swimming paddles, and a pair of large pincers for subduing prey. It would swim by flapping its long, flat tail up and down; the broad, flat part at the end would push it through the water in much the same way as the fluke on the whale's tail does. |

Koolasuchus
land and water dinosaur
Koolasuchus is an extinct genus of brachyopoid temnospondyl in the family Chigutisauridae. Fossils have
Koolasuchus in Jurassic World: The Game. been found from Victoria, Australia and date back 120 Ma to the Aptian stage of the Early Cretaceous. Koolasuchus is the latest known temnospondyl. Koolasuchus is known from several fragments of the skull and other bones such as vertebrae, ribs, and pectoral elements. The type species K. cleelandi was named in 1997. Koolasuchus inhabited rift valleys in southern Australia during the Early Cretaceous. During this time the area was below the Antarctic Circle, and temperatures were relatively cool for the Mesozoic. Based on the coarse-grained rocks in which remains were found, Koolasuchus likely lived in fast-moving streams. As a large aquatic predator, it had a similar lifestyle to crocodilians. Although crocodilians were common during the Early Cretaceous, they were absent from southern Australia 120 million years ago, possibly because of the cold climate. By 110 Ma, represented by rocks in the Dinosaur Cove fossil locality, temperatures had warmed and crocodilians had returned to the area. These crocodilians likely displaced Koolasuchus, leading to its disappearance in younger rocks. Koolasuchus appears in Jurassic Park Builder, as part of the Aquatic Park. It also appears as an amphibian that can be created in Jurassic World: The Game. |
